Present: Angelelli (T), Bradshaw, Brock, Hightower, Johnson, Kibbe, Mason, McGrory, Moore, Morrow, Peterson, Reichle, Rogers, Rupert, White, Whitley, Worrell
Guests: Pam Williamson & Jean Williams from CNS, Doug Colclasure.
1. Williamson/Williams Presentation on Ben/Val.
o Required every three years
o Value of benefit, not cost
For salaried active, not retirees
7 thousand retirees not a part, but are affected
For bargaining units
o 105.3% currently
o 27 companies with no pension benefits, no health/welfare benefits
o 17 companies with pension benefits, health/welfare benefits
o Look at retirement income, investment plans, active health/welfare, PTO
o Goes into AON black box
o No cost of living factor
o No pension income for future studies
o 2% spouse option would not affect ben/val
2. June Minutes Approved.
3. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer’s report was approved as submitted.
4. UCOR (Peterson).
o June 15 meeting with UCOR on health exchange update
o Included pre-65 in enrollment but different from post-65
o Enrollment in October
5. NSPS – No Report.
o Covered under Ben/Val discussion.
7. ORNL – No Report.

– Communications (Kibbe)
—> Blurb in ORNL Spring Issue.
– Nominations – Rogers
—> 3 people have agreed to serve; Tom Conley, Brenda Tilley, George McRae.
—> Rogers moved to accept these 3 for voting ballot at annual meeting/seconded/passed.
—> “Behind the Blue Line” by Steve Gibler for sale at annual meeting.
– Other Sites – No Report
– Legislative – Whitley
—> Has been in touch with Helen Hardin.
—> Meeting with her next Friday morning regarding DOE discussion of pensions with HASC.
– Annual Meeting – White.
—> Committee will meet to lay out plan before next meeting.
– Planning – Hightower.
—> Met on July 6.
—> Disussed SR plans, questions to Helen Hardin, Ben/Val, actions from McBride presentation.
